Riesling is Jancis Robinson’s favourite grape, and for good reason. It’s aromatics show incredible range, with base notes of green apple and lemon/lime, and accents of tropical fruit in warmer regions, white flowers, honeysuckle, and petrol/paraffin – in the nicest way possible! Its high acidity, Rieslings can be lusciously sweet yet not cloying in the least. The acids also preserve the freshness of the wines as they age, giving them rare longevity.
This tasting will include sparkling Sekt, dry complex Tasmanian Riesling, the finest German examples, and wonderful sweet Rieslings.
All our tastings feature a minimum of 6 wines, which are accompanied by appropriately matched cheeses by Culinaris. Please note that the food is designed as an accompaniment to the wine, which is the main focus of the event!

If you can no longer make a tasting, and email us at wine@amphoracambridge.com over 48 hours before the tasting, we will issue you a full refund, or you may transfer your booking to a future event or store credit. Within 48h of an event, we cannot provide a refund, but you are welcome to send a friend in your place.
