After lots of tastings, these are our favourite wines from Greece (available in the UK). You can really taste the sea in the amazing wild ferment Assyrtiko from Santorini, harvested from ancient basket vines, so grown to protect the grapes against the gale force winds. The Viognier is one of the best you will taste, so bursting with tropical fruit and rich texture it is. The Xinomavro has a mouthwatering tart cranberry-sour cherry flavour that is so addictive.
As always, the wines will be accompanied by cheeses – and local snacks from Greece this time!
