The second in a series of cheese and wine evenings in the air-conditioned comfort of after-hours Culinaris – we will explore 6 different strong, smelly cheeses, lovingly matured in the old Lloyds bank vault that is the affinage room at Culinaris. The most pungent cheeses are washed-rind ones, which, as the name suggests, literally have their surfaces rinsed – with brine, or a spirit such as brandy. This moist environment attracts a range of microbes that release smelly molecules that are paradoxically enticing.

If we need to cancel this event, we will notify you in advance and issue a full refund. If you can no longer make a tasting, and email us at wine@amphoracambridge.com over 48 hours before the tasting, we will issue you a full refund, or you may transfer your booking to a future event or store credit. Within 48h of an event, we cannot provide a refund or booking transfer, but you are welcome to send a friend in your place.
