Blind tasting can be learned. It is not the power of suggestion, but rather the development of neuronal connections as you consciously smell and taste wines, backed up by knowledge of the features of grapes and regions.
This tasting will feature a selection of wines with excellent varietal expression and regional typicality: what are known in blind tasting as “bankers”.
This session is suitable for beginners, as well as enthusiasts who welcome the opportunity to practise. Please note that this is not a good opportunity to catch up with friends, as blind tasting requires your complete concentration.
This tasting will feature 10 wines (5 white and 5 red), which will be available for purchase at a 10% discount at the end of the event. We recommend you have a light supper or hearty lunch (rather than a large supper) prior to the event in order to best appreciate the wines.
Cancellation Policy:
If we need to cancel this event, we will notify you in advance and issue a full refund. If you can no longer make a tasting, and email us at wine@amphoracambridge.com over 48 hours before the tasting, we will issue you a full refund, or you may transfer your booking to a future event or store credit. Within 48h of an event, we cannot provide a refund or booking transfer, but you are welcome to send a friend in your place.
